FillDesk Pro comes from The Super Simple Software Company (SSSCo), an independent, solo-founder software shop based in Lisbon, Connecticut. We build focused business software for owner-operators — the trades and family businesses that keep getting quoted enterprise prices for tools they will only half use.
The buy-it-once model
Most modern business software is rented: a monthly fee per user, forever, with your data living on someone else's terms. We do the opposite. FillDesk Pro is sold through our buy-it-once approach — a one-time license for the software, plus a flat annual fee that only covers what genuinely recurs: hosting, daily backups, and the compliance updates that keep DVIR and cylinder-requalification rules current. When you buy FillDesk Pro, you own it, and your data is always exportable and always yours.
Why fuel dealers?
Small propane and heating-oil dealers are exactly the kind of business that gets underserved by software. The enterprise suites — priced per user, per truck, and per implementation consultant — are built for multi-branch distributors, not for the dealer who knows every customer by name and runs three trucks. Meanwhile a lot of good dealers are still on paper, spreadsheets, and a decades-old DOS program because the alternatives cost more than a new delivery truck. FillDesk Pro exists to give that dealer degree-day forecasting, an offline driver app, and real DOT and cylinder compliance without the enterprise price tag.
How we build
We build narrow and deep rather than broad and shallow. FillDesk Pro does delivery forecasting, routes and tickets, DVIR and cylinder compliance, tank-monitor telemetry, and basic invoicing and HVAC work orders — and it does those things carefully, with the regulatory logic verified against the actual federal rules. What it does not do, it does not pretend to do. FillDesk Pro is deliberately focused on delivery, forecasting, and compliance for small dealers. It does not currently include advance-purchase or capped-price fuel plans, level monthly even-payment plans, automated fuel-excise tax calculation or excise-return exports, a homeowner web login, or advanced receivables tools such as automated late-fee assessment and end-of-day driver cash totals. If those are central to how you operate, a heavier platform may serve you better — and during a pilot we will tell you honestly if that is the case.
Built to stay current
Compliance rules do not stand still, so neither does FillDesk Pro. The flat annual fee covers keeping the enforced rules accurate — the 49 CFR 396 driver-inspection logic, the 49 CFR 180.209 cylinder-requalification intervals, and the state lien notice and filing windows — and we re-verify the regulatory content on a fixed calendar each January, the same discipline we apply across everything we build. When a rule changes, the update reaches your account without you tracking a Federal Register notice or a state statute revision yourself.
