ADD Systems (Flanders, NJ) has built back-office and mobile software for the fuel-delivery and convenience-store industries since 1973. Its Energy E3 platform is an enterprise system aimed at mid-to-large, often multi-branch, energy distributors. If you are an independent dealer with roughly 100–800 customers and a handful of trucks, you may find ADD Systems is more platform — and more cost — than you need. This page is an honest comparison, including where ADD Systems is genuinely the better choice.
What ADD Systems costs
ADD Systems is quote-based / enterprise. Capterra lists ADD*ONE as "contact vendor for pricing" with no free trial, and Energy E3 is custom-quoted with no published per-user or per-month figure. Expect a scoped implementation project.
What FillDesk Pro does differently
FillDesk Pro is a one-time license, not a subscription: $999 for the delivery platform (or $1,499 with basic HVAC) plus a flat $149/year for hosting and compliance updates — no per-user or per-truck fees. The driver app is offline-first and runs as a web app on any phone, so there is no App Store fee and no dead-zone downtime. And your data is isolated to your account and exportable to CSV or JSON any time — you own it, you are not renting access to it.
Integrated receivables and credit, degree-day delivery scheduling, service dispatch, inventory, CRM, mobile field apps, and the ADD*ONE inventory-forecasting module.

When ADD Systems is the right choice
If you run a large, multi-branch distributorship with commercial bulk fuel, wholesale, and a dedicated IT or operations team, ADD Systems' depth is built for you. We would rather send you to the right tool than sell you the wrong one. And FillDesk Pro is deliberately narrow: FillDesk Pro is deliberately focused on delivery, forecasting, and compliance for small dealers. It does not currently include advance-purchase or capped-price fuel plans, level monthly even-payment plans, automated fuel-excise tax calculation or excise-return exports, a homeowner web login, or advanced receivables tools such as automated late-fee assessment and end-of-day driver cash totals. If those are central to how you operate, a heavier platform may serve you better — and during a pilot we will tell you honestly if that is the case. If those capabilities are core to how you run, ADD Systems or another heavier platform is likely the better fit — and during a free pilot we will tell you so directly.
Pilot program
The fair way to compare software is to run it. FillDesk Pro's three-month pilot puts the real product on your real routes, free, with nothing owed until you decide. Related: FillDesk Pro for Connecticut dealers, software for small dealers.
